| Johannes Stecher has directed the Abbey of Wilten Boys' Choir since 1991. He studied musical and instrumental education at the Mozarteum of Salzburg. At the Conservatory of Music in Innsbruck he majored in vocal instruction and concert perfomance for organ. Personally Johannes Stecher trained extensively with singers like Yongvan Chen-Hauser, Barbara Daniels, Marie-Thérèse Escribano, Lucile and Bob Evans, Brigitte Fassbaender, Sena Jurinac, Jorge Lopez, Marianne Schartner, Susanne Skov and Kurt Widmer. As baritone he has devoted himself primarily to the study of German Lied and oratory and has already appeared with two cd recitals of German Lieder by Brahms, Strauss and Wolf. |

| Johannes Stecher is director of the Music School of Telfs near Innsbruck and Musical Director of INTERregional.telfs, a cultural association promoting concerts, readings and expositions. He is the conductor of the Telfs Chamber Choir, performs as a concert singer and organist and has often been invited to symposiums as an expert in vocal instruction and performance. |
